Air Fryer Parmesan Pork Chops Recipe

Air Fryer Parmesan Pork Chops Recipe
Air fryers are great appliances when you are in a hurry to get a meal on the table. And lately, they are very popular, not only because they turn out delicious dishes with reduced fat, but also because they are very quick. Air fryers are perfect for summer, since they don't heat up the kitchen like an oven, and they are very easy to clean. Air fryers are actually little convection ovens that blow air around the food to cook it evenly and quickly. Although they come in several sizes, I recommend getting a larger one; I own a small one (and two larger ones - all different brands) and find that food doesn't cook as well as it does in my larger ones, and the small one burns the baked goods, even though it is the top rated small air fryer. If you don't own an air fryer, you can prepare the following Air Fryer Parmesan Pork Chops in the oven.
??
These juicy pork chops are quick to put together, and cook quickly. The time in the air fryer should be reduced if you are using smaller or thinner pork chops. Most boneless pork chops take about 10 minutes per side, unless they are extra thick. An instant read thermometer is a must for any cook, and it helps eliminate overcooking the chops. This recipe has been adapted from one I found on a mayonnaise jar for chicken, but I found that pork chops turned out beautifully and were absolutely moist and flavorful.

6 Servings

2 pounds boneless pork loin chops trimmed of fat (six pork chops approximately 1" thick)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

2/3 cup mayonnaise (light is okay- non-fat doesn't work)
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

3/4 cup dry bread crumbs

  1. Spray the inside of a large air fryer liberally with olive oil non-stick spray.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and sprinkle them on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl; spread half of the mixture over one side of each pork chop.
  4. Press the coated side into the bread crumbs.
  5. Spread the other side of the pork chops with the remaining mayonnaise mixture and press into the bread crumbs.
  6. Place the chops in the coated air fryer.
  7. Turn the air fryer on 350? and let the pork chops cook 12 minutes.
  8. Turn the pork chops over and let cook an additional 8-15 minutes, depending on thickness or until an instant read thermometer reads 135?-140?.
