God's Favor

God's Favor
Life is filled with challenges. When you realize who you are in Christ, you will begin to rest in the Lord. You are not your circumstances. Find the favor of God.

Ruth found favor with Boaz. Boaz showed Ruth and Naomi favor by allowing Ruth to glean extra wheat in the field, and allowing her to eat and take extra food home. Naomi began to speak blessings over Boaz.

If you read the Book of Ruth, you will see that Naomi played a big part in Ruth finding her Boaz. Ruth and Boaz were married and conceived a son by the name of Obed.

Ruth 4:14-17 says:
14 And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.
15 And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.
16 And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.
17 And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

Naomi was blessed with a new kinsman, her grandson Obed. Her heart was once again filled with love. It was said that he would be the restorer of her life and a nourisher in her old age. Naomi lost her two sons, but the Lord blessed her with Ruth, who loved her better than seven sons.

Naomi left Bethlehem to avoid the famine in the land but ended up separating from God. During her time of trouble, she took her eyes off the promises of God and focused on her circumstances. The Lord said that he would never leave us nor forsake us. The Lord never left Naomi. Naomi left God. When she returned to the will of God, she was restored. She had no idea that her family tree would include Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus loves you. You are not the blame for your circumstances. Your name is not Mara. Your name is not bitterness or sorrow. Your name is blessed and highly favored. There is a plan for your life.

Be blessed.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your many blessings. Thank you for being God even in the mist of my circumstances. Thank you for your favor. Father I pray for strength to endure. I pray for peace that passeth all understanding. I pray for your healing power in the Name of Jesus. Amen
