Easy Pan-Fried Noodles Recipe

Easy Pan-Fried Noodles Recipe
Do you order pan-fried noodles in your favorite Chinese restaurant? And do you wonder how they get them crisp and chewy? The secret is in the type of noodles you start with and the method in which you cook them. Most regular grocery stores carry fresh yakisoba noodles; they generally are sold in 17 ounce packages and contain 3 small packs of noodles as well as 3 seasoning packets. I always keep several of these in my fridge or freezer so that I can make them any time. Easy Pan-fried noodles With an Even Easier Stir-Fry can be made in less than 30 minutes, so it’s like having Chinese take-out without taking the time to go to a restaurant to pick it up. The easiest way to make the pan-fried noodles is not by using a pan, but instead by using your air fryer. If you don’t have an air fryer (not a crime, but highly inconvenient), you can crisp the noodles up in a large skillet over medium heat.

Once the noodles are crisp, you can prepare the stir-fry using any meat or poultry you happen to have around and a package of frozen stir-fry vegetables. The seasoning packets add plenty of flavor. When it comes to a quick meal, this is one that is easy and definitely tasty.

6 Servings

Pan-Fried Noodles:
17 ounces yakisoba stir-fry noodles with seasoning sauce base
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Stir-Fry:
1 cup cooked leftover beef, or chicken, pork, etc. (or slice your favorite raw meat or poultry and stir-fry it until it is just cooked through)

  1. Noodles: Place the noodles from the 3 packets in a bowl; add the vegetable oil, and stir or massage with your hands until the noodles are coated with the oil and are separated (carefully so they don’t break up).
  2. Place them in an air fryer basket and air fry for about 10 minutes (390°), stirring every minute or so until brown and crisp. Set aside.
  3. Stir-Fry: In a large skillet or wok, heat the leftover beef, chicken, or pork in the tablespoon vegetable oil (or stir-fry fresh meat or poultry – whatever you happen to have).
  4. Stir in the sauce packets from the yakisoba noodles and stir until coated and heated through.
  5. Add the frozen vegetables and stir until heated through.
  6. Mix the water and cornstarch; pour over the meat and vegetable mixture and cook over high heat, until the sauce mixture is slightly thickened and the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  7. Stir in the pan-fried noodles and serve.
